Theremin
If you're new to the Theremin, or just don't know what the heck it is, check out ThereminWorld.com for more info. Here's an example of what this instrument can sound like when played by a master. This is Lydia Kavina, who studied with the inventor himself, Leon Theremin, playing "Claire de Lune" by Claude Debussy:
For those adventurous souls who own one of these great instruments, I've created some indexing rings for the waveform and brightness knobs of the MOOG Etherwave Standard. I'd like to share these with my fellow thereminists, so here they are, free for download. Imagine being able to write down your favorite settings and return to them easily at any time! Choose standard black and white, or jazz up your instrument with color! Before you remove the knobs, if you've found a setting you'd like to retain, remember to mark it. You ALSO should mark the full counter-clockwise (i.e. "0") position, so you know the distance between the two marks. BE ADVISED - the shafts are NOT indexed, so the knobs will go back on in any position. Also note that the rings will cover up the "Waveform" and "Brightness" words, but you know which is which, right?
Use a small screwdriver to loosen the set screw opposite the white index mark on the knob. Remove the knob, nut and washer from the shaft.

After you download and print out the indicator ring, cut it into a circle as indicated, and cut out the hole in the middle. Place the ring over the shaft, then the washer and nut.

Make sure the shaft is turned all the way counter-clockwise, put the knob back on, set the index mark exactly to "0" and tighten the set screw. Tip - Keep the knob slightly out away from the body of the instrument so it doesn't rub when rotated. Also, for the "Brightness" knob, if you cut the index ring straight across at the bottom (between "0" and "90"), it won't overlap the "Etherwave Theremin" logo (see picture below, compared to picture above).

TO DOWNLOAD: Right-click on the index ring color scheme you'd like below, and choose "save target as" to download the full resolution file. Choose from two versions - Numbers oriented radially around the ring, or all numbers horizontal (as suggested by Oscar Garcia of ThereminHispano.com - thanks Oscar!).
For best results, print them out with a photo quality printer, on your favorite photo paper. Enjoy!
Numbers Oriented Radially

Numbers Oriented Horizontally
